Apple picking @ Mercier Orchards!

It's that time of year again in North Georgia: U-pick! As in you pick your own apples! Eight weeks out of the year you can pick your own apples at Mercier Orhards in Blue Ridge. Right now over 14 different kinds of apples are available to pick right off the trees. My favorite is the Pink Lady apples which will not be ripe enough to pick for a couple more weeks. But that is ok, just another reason to go up there and have a warm fried apple pie with homemade vanilla ice cream on top ;) Speaking of homemade ice cream don't forget to pick up a gallon or two of their apple cider, and doughnuts!! Yum.

I would recommend to wear tennis shoe if you decide to pick apples (or you can buy them in the store) even though they have a tractor ride to and from the orchard, it is still quite hilly.

A Sad Day For Mankind.

My Favorite thing in the past month has been Starbucks Hazelnut Signature Hot Chocolate.....yum!!!!

That is until I saw today that one beautiful grande cup of heaven had 600 calories and 32 grams of fat! I am so over Starbucks and their sneaky ways of making my jeans not fit. The least they could do is keep the nutritional information a secert! Then I could have gone on and lived a happy life with my belly full of Hazelnut Hot Chocolate.

Picture Tag...haha....

The object of the picture tag is to:

3) Explain the picture

4) Tag 4 people to do the same NO CHEATING! (cropping, editing, etc!)

Ok I did cheat a little, I turned it around since the picture was upside down! Haha...Ella did not like taking the guts out of the pumpkin!

Halloween Pictures!

Ella loved Halloween this year! Once she realized all you had to do was say 'Trick or Treat' to get candy, she was ready to knock on every door in the neighborhood! This year we went to Tammy's house to help pass out candy and do a little trick or treating.

Amicalola Falls in the Fall!

Ella loved Berry Patch farms....she went on the hay ride, had some popcorn and apple cider, played on the playground and had a witch painted on her cheek! The pumpkins there were huge!

We also went to Amicalola Falls State Park...it was gorgeous!! We had a picnic and then walked to the falls. What a great spot for photos especially with the leaves changing colors!

GA Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium.......

Not sure when the best time is to go, we have had good luck on Friday evenings... much smaller crowds that on Saturdays & Sundays! Skip the food court here... nothing special and there areso many good resturants within walking distance. Chow Baby is just a short drive away! We are still waiting for the penguin exhibit and heard dolphins are coming too!
